  • Welcome to My Wild Adventure

Welcome to this new blog… Right now I’m just looking out my window on a bright August afternoon… You should have seen the rain last night and this morning… I hope we can share some stories… pictures… laughs… along the way.

So what will you find here… (well I’m sorta wondering that my self) but there are some things that I’ll start with…

    Pictures…

An eagle with wings fully spread out flying in front of harbor pilings.

I love to take pictures of landscapes, wildlife, and do stories about interesting places. There is a website AlaskaByBanks.com where you will find some more pictures… if you want a shower curtain with a moose… or and iPhone case with northern lights… or even artwork for your wall on canvas, metal or something else.

    Stories

Sometimes I just do stuff…. Like drive 3 hours to Denali National Park in the pouring rain, with no plan. And decide at 9pm to stay over night with no reservations… they said I’d find a place across the creek at the pizza place… but that’s another story… and then there is the jumping overboard in Bristol bay… OK… Later

    Places

Some places are so unique and unusual they just need a story all about that place. Like Brooks Falls with bears catching spawning salmon… or McCarthy and Kennicott copper mine… or Kasaan, or Angoon….

A carved figure with a Hida native hat holding a carved paddle with the word KASAAN that points to the way into town.

OK… so for some this isn’t all that wild… but it should be fun

See you down the ethernet (did I mention I teach computer networking technology at a college)

Thanks for stopping by… that means a lot… (my keyboard was getting lonely)

Leave a comment… and let me know what you think and what interests you…

    See you soon.
